Soundgarden will play their best-selling album, Superunknown, in its entirety at a special show at New York City’s Webster Hall on June 2nd, a day before they release a remastered, 20th anniversary edition of the album. Accordingly, the ticket price for the show is $19.94. It will be the second time the group has played the album in its entirety, following their appearance at the iTunes Festival at South by Southwest. Tickets go on sale – only to Citi card members – on May 21st, Billboard reports.

Where Did Soundgarden’s ‘Superunknown’ Rank Among the 100 Best Albums of the Nineties?

The anniversary edition of Superunknown, which comes out June 3rd, comes in a variety of formats that, at its most extravagant, includes dozens of previously unreleased demos and B-sides and even a rehearsal tape. A five-disc edition of the record also includes the album mixed in 5.1 surround sound Blu-ray audio and a hardbound book with liner notes by Rolling Stone’s David Fricke.

The band also issued a special vinyl box set, Superunknown: The Singles, for Record Store Day in April that collected the album’s five singles, including “Spoonman,” “Black Hole Sun” and “Fell on Black Days.” The release’s five 10-inch singles included all of the B-sides that came out on their original releases.

This summer, Soundgarden will be touring North America with Nine Inch Nails from July to August. The last time the two bands shared a bill together was in Toronto at a gig Trent Reznor described as a “professional showdown.” Death Grips will be opening on most dates.
