Social Distortion Cover Creedence Clearwater Revival – Song Premiere

California punk mainstays Social Distortion have contributed a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Up Around the Bend” to the soundtrack of the upcoming animated movie Free Birds. The disc will be released on October 29th through Relativity Music Group, a few days before the film hits theaters on November 1st. “In third grade, I was listening to Creedence Clearwater records as well as Beatles and Rolling Stones,” frontman Mike Ness tells Rolling Stone. “Covering this song was easy and natural, as it is a major part of the foundation in my songwriting. It was a blast recording it and it will be even more fun playing it live.”
