Snoop Dogg Drops Snoop-isms in ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Voice Package

The rapper narrates multiplayer gameplay with classic dialogue like, ‘Don’t stop, cap ’em and shank ’em!’

You don’t have to break out your copy of Doggystyle to hear Snoop Dogg get gritty anymore. The rapper has lent his suave voice to the video game Call of Duty: Ghosts, narrating multiplayer gameplay with lines like “Homies out the joint, it’s party time” or “Don’t stop — cap ’em and shank ’em!”

“What interests me most about the project is my voice can be connected with a game that’s so hip and so hood,” Snoop says in new short video that goes behind the scenes of the rapper’s new voice pack. “It says a lot; it’s associated with greatness.” While the writers provided Snoop with a good chunk of his dialogue, they also let him run free and throw in a few classic Snoop-isms as well, including the gripping “Yeah, crizzay.”

Along with his Call of Duty: Ghosts voice package, Snoop Dogg remains busy as ever: He’s set to headline the upcoming Roots Picnic on May 31st, backed by the Roots themselves; and to celebrate one of his most cherished days of the year — 4/20, the pot smoker’s Christmas — Snoop and Wiz Khalifa will perform two “Wellness Retreat” concerts in the marijuana-friendly states of Colorado and Washington. The pair will play Seattle’s WaMu Theater on April 19th with special guests to be announced later, followed by a Red Rocks Theater show in Denver on April 20th alongside YG and Smoke DZA.
