Smokey Robinson Remembers his Hall of Fame induction
Smokey Robinson, who was inducted in the second year of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, remembers the ceremony as one of the best musical nights of his life. “Hall and Oates brought me on stage, and the entire audience – like they had planned it – started to sing ‘Ooh Baby Baby,’ and they sang it for five minutes before I could even say a speech to accept being inducted.”
