After Smokey Robinson helped mentor American Idol contestants on Detroit Music Night last night, the Motown great will be revisiting some of those tracks himself with a new duets album this fall. The still untitled album will feature Robinson hits including "My Girl," "Cruisin'," "The Tears of a Clown" and more. Collaborators are still under wraps, but Robinson looks to bring together both old and new influences on his music.

"Not only do I have a musical history with the guys involved, but a longstanding friendship as well," Robinson said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to bringing our talents to the table as we collaborate on this project."
Robinson released his latest album, Time Flies When You're Having Fun, in 2009.
