Slipknot will host their third Knotfest this October at San Bernardino, California, where the group will be joined by a lineup that features fellow metal icons Judas Priest, Prepare for Hell tour mates Korn, Mastodon, Gwar, Corrosion of Conformity, Cannibal Corpse, Suicidal Tendencies and many more. Ghostface Killah, Body Count, Mobb Deep, Helmet, Clutch, Trivium, At the Gates and Bring Me the Horizon are also on board, with more acts promised in the coming months.
“Knotfest returns to Southern California for round two and with legends like Judas Priest headlining night one and a lineup of some of the greatest acts in metal and heavy music, we couldn’t be more excited,” Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan said in a statement. This year’s two-day fest will take place at the San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds on October 24th and 25th. Early bird tickets go on sale Monday, June 29th. Check out the fest’s official site for the current lineup and details ticket information.
As with previous years, Knotfest will once again feature carnival rides, food trucks, the Mad Max-inspired Thunderdome and the Slipknot Museum. The fest will also host a special pre-party on October 23rd at the venue for fans that purchase camping or VIP tickets. Knotfest 2014, which drew over 50,000 people to the San Manuel festival grounds, boasted performances by Danzig, Anthrax, Testament, Atreyu and two headlining performances by Slipknot.
It’s unclear whether Slipknot will secure the necessary permits to ensure that this year’s Knotfest will smell like burning camel poop.
