See Miley Cyrus Dance in Pharrell Williams’ ‘Come Get It Bae’ Video

Pharrell Williams spends most of his time behind the camera, gawking at models as they shimmy, gyrate and pantomime riding a motorcycle to the singer’s funky second Girl single, “Come Get It Bae.” But what keeps the video from being an homage to George Michael’s “Too Funky” clip in 1992, when he leered at models through a camera lens, is Miley Cyrus’ appearance midway through. That’s when Williams steps out from behind the camera and joins his scantily clad guest – who is apparently on an overly caffeinated sugar high, judging from the amount of white powder she pours in her smiley-face cup – for some synchronized choreography to the song’s bridge and mean mugging in the end.

One of Williams’ songs and videos recently got its own homage when “Weird Al” Yankovic turned the singer’s inescapable 2013 hit “Happy” into a celebration of all things gauche on the Mandatory Fun track “Tacky.” While the parody points out any number of poor-taste behaviors, the video mirrors Williams’ 24-hour star-studded affair replacing the original’s celebrities (Steve Carell, Magic Johnson, Tyler, the Creator) with, well, weirder celebrities like Jack Black, Margaret Cho and Kristen Schaal.

But that hasn’t stopped Williams or his friends, who recently appeared as a guest on a horn-laden, dancey song, “She Came to Give It to You,” for Usher. That song, which also features Nicki Minaj, will likely appear on Usher’s upcoming eighth record.
