See Lil Durk Play ‘First and Worst,’ Blast Spike Lee’s ‘Chi-Raq’

Plus, rapper discusses tattoos, early nickname

Lil Durk talks about nicknames, tattoos and more in the inaugural episode of Rolling Stone‘s new series “First and Worst.” The rapper played the game during a visit to the RS offices earlier this year.

When looking back on his nicknames, Durk notes that the first one he ever had was also his worst: Dirty Durk. The heavily tattooed Chicago MC recalls the “Blessed” ink on his neck as his first tattoo; his worst was a skinny blue dragon on his arm that has since been covered. “That dragon was hungry as shit,” he joked of the lean, lizard-like creature.

Finally, Durk recalled the first CD he ever bought, which was for a Chicago artist named Bump J. The worst DVD he ever bought was Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq, which he labeled as “weak as fuck,” before describing the film’s strange premise. “I feel like he played with us,” he added. “Chicago didn’t really appreciate that from Spike.”

Lil Durk’s second album, 2X, comes out July 22nd. The rapper begins a U.S. tour August 6th.
