See Drake, Tyra Banks Argue at Cheesecake Factory in ‘Childs Play’ Video
Drake has dropped his 12-minute new video for “Childs Play,” which takes the Views track’s most meme-able lyric – “Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake? / You know I love to go there” – and blows it up into an ordeal where the rapper and model Tyra Banks very publicly argue about Drake’s promiscuity at a Cheesecake Factory.
After using the restaurant’s bathroom for the first minute of the video, Drake returns to his table and realizes he left his cellphone at the table with Banks; when he was away, the rapper received a text message from another woman calling him “Aubrey.”
“She didn’t call you Drake, she called you Aubrey,” Banks tells the rapper, her voice increasing in volume. “So obviously there’s something a little bit more intimate for her to call you Aubrey. I call you Aubrey. Your mom calls you Aubrey. These bitches call you fucking Drake!”
Eventually the public row escalates to the point where fellow diners start leaving the restaurant – “I don’t care if this shit is on TMZ tomorrow,” Banks says – and after Drake fails to diffuse the situation, Banks shoves her cheesecake in his face and dumps red wine over his head. Drake, cake on face, then delivers his “Childs Play.”
The back half of the 12-minute video is dedicated to Drake’s post-Cheesecake activities, with the rapper hitting up a nearby strip club where his OVO signee OB O’Brien serves as manager “the Texas Hammer.”
“Childs Play” was filmed in Houston, the same city where Drake will host a mysterious event called “The Ballet” on Monday. Drake also recently announced that another short film titled Please Forgive Me will debut on September 30th.
