See Axl Rose, AC/DC Talk First Show Together

Axl Rose joined AC/DC‘s Angus Young and Cliff Williams to deliver a message to fans in Portugal ahead of the Guns N’ Roses singer’s first show with the Australian rock outfit on Saturday.
“Lisbon, here we come,” said Young in a short video posted to Facebook. “We’re really excited to be here in Portugal, we’re here to give you a great rock show.” Rose added with a smile: “Absolutely, we’re very excited to be there.”
AC/DC will kick off their European trek Saturday, May 7th at the Passeio Maritimo de Algés in Lisbon and wrap June 12th at Ceres Park in Aarhus, Denmark. The leg marks the Australian outfit’s first without longtime frontman Brian Johnson, who was forced to exit after doctors told him he’d risk “total deafness” if he continued touring.
Rose was confirmed as Johnson’s replacement just hours before he took the stage with Guns N’ Roses at Coachella. Along with picking up the AC/DC gig, Rose will front GNR on their Not in This Lifetime reunion tour, which begins June 23rd in Detroit and ends August 22nd in San Diego.
Rose will eventually rejoin AC/DC for 10 U.S. shows they postponed in March due to Johnson’s health issues.
AC/DC revealed that Axl Rose will be singing with them this summer, but there’s still a lot we don’t know. Watch here.
