Sasha Takes Over London’s Basing House
Sasha’s new album, Involv3r, is out March 18th and to mark its release, the Welsh DJ took over London’s Basing House on February 13th. Here, Sasha gives an inside look at all the planning and partying that went into the celebration. “We wanted to keep it low key,” he says in this exclusive clip. “It wasn’t really about selling tickets or anything; it was a lot of friends and family coming out.”

Involv3r wasn’t easy for Sasha to create, and he was forced to delay its original release date. “I started in the beginning of 2012. I wanted the record to be finished before the summer,” he says. “We had four or five quality tunes, but there [were] too many kind of filler tracks on there.” So Sasha pressed pause over the summer and returned to the disc that October, when everything fell into place.
Sasha recorded Involv3r in New York, Ibiza and London. The constant relocations created an interesting mix, but Sasha was able to quickly adapt. “Each time we moved, the sound changed a bit,” he says. “It wasn’t really ideal, but we got there in the end.”
