RZA Blasts Trump Muslim Ban on New Song About Refugee Crisis
RZA condemns President Trump’s attempted immigration bans and praises the spirit of refugees on “No Refuge,” a collaborative track with Italian electronic duo Parisi.
“Let’s make America great again – but not a place that’s filled with bigotry, racism and hate again,” the Wu-Tang Clan mastermind raps over slick synth pulses. “I wanna fall at the feet of Lady Liberty, from the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream to the land of the brave and the free, where there’s freedom of speech, freedom to teach/ But they won’t let me in, no, they won’t let me in.”
In Ben Strebel’s triumphant video, a group of nomadic refugees wander through a desolate, foggy landscape, suddenly breaking into choreographed dance. Parisi and RZA are donating all proceeds from the track’s digital sales and streams fro the UN Refugee Agency.
