Run the Jewels Announce First Leg of Run the World Tour

UPDATE: El-P announced that the new Run the Jewels album will be out “1st week of next year at the LATEST.”
Run the Jewels will start the new year with a bang: Killer Mike and El-P will hit the road starting January 11th in Philadelphia. The pair will work their way around the country, make a couple of stops in Canada and wrap up the first portion of the Run the World tour in New York City on February 25th. The Gaslamp Killer, MC Spark Master Tape and CUZ will serve as the duo’s supporting acts.
Run the Jewels recently released a new track, “Talk To Me,” which will appear on the duo’s next album, Run the Jewels 3. Earlier this fall, El-P made waves when he tweeted, “every word for #RTJ3 has now officially been recorded. [T]he album is almost finished.” But the release date for the project still remains unknown.
This year, the duo can also be found rapping on DJ Shadow’s “Nobody Speak” and “Panther Like a Panther (I’m the Shit),” which appear in the Gears of War 4 trailer. The video game also made El-P and Killer Mike available as playable characters as of November 1st.
