On Monday night, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, the Mamas and
the Papas, Lloyd Price, Santana and Gene
Vincent will join the ranks of rock's greatest musicians
as they are recognized in the 13th annual Rock and Roll
Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.
On October 23, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation
announced the artists who will join the likes of the
Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley and
Chuck Berry, musicians who all laid the groundwork
for rock 'n' roll.
Jelly Roll Morton will be inducted as an "Early
Influence" on rock music and Allen Toussaint will
be included in the "Non Performer" category.
The induction ceremony will take place on Jan. 12 at the
Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York and will air on
VH1 on Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. (EST)
