Report: Chris Brown Involved in More Domestic Violence Incidents

A probation officer’s report that was filed in court before Chris Brown’s sentencing yesterday revealed that the singer was allegedly involved in two other altercations “related to domestic violence” with Rihanna prior to their February 8th incident. Both confrontations occurred overseas and neither were reported to authorities, but the details of both were revealed in documents yesterday as Brown was sentenced to five years probation and a 180 days of physical labor after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the February 8th incident in Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the first incident between Rihanna and Brown occurred in Europe, with the couple engaging in a verbal dispute. Rihanna eventually slapped Brown, who responded by allegedly shoving Rihanna against the wall. The second incident, which occurred three weeks before Brown’s pre-Grammy assault on February 8th, took place in Barbados. Driving in a leased Range Rover, Brown and Rihanna reportedly got into an argument inside the car. Brown responded by exiting the vehicle and breaking the front driver side and passenger windows.

The full details of the February 8th incident were also revealed in court documents, and they pretty much read like the police search warrant that leaked out in early March, with Brown repeatedly punching Rihanna while driving back from a pre-Grammy party. “I’m going to beat the shit out of you when we get home,” Brown told Rihanna, according to the report. After Rihanna called her assistant and told her to call the police, Brown responded, “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.”

As Rock Daily reported yesterday, in addition to the probation and physical labor, Brown was also ordered to enroll into a 52-week domestic violence-counseling program in his native Virginia. A protective order was also issued against Brown, dictating that the singer never contact or come within 100 yards of Rihanna for the next five years. If both Rihanna and Brown both find themselves at the same entertainment-related event, the protective order shortens to 10 yards. Brown will be back in court November 19th as a “progress report” to see if he’s living up to the sentence agreed to in the plea bargain.
