Rare Nirvana Interview Surfaces

Band discusses Vanilla Ice, their fathers and more

Three rare Nirvana interviews have surfaced online. Journalist James Sherry interviewed the band in November 1990, and has released the audio recordings, reports Consequence of Sound

Where Does Nirvana Rank on Our List of 100 Greatest Artists?

In the interview, the band discusses the state of alternative music at the time, artists like Vanilla Ice and Public Enemy sampling songs, and their rising success. The band members also open up about their relationships with their fathers, alcoholism and drug use. And as a bonus, Dave Grohl sings Warrant's "Cherry Pie."

Nirvana's final album, In Utero was recently reissued and will commemorate the milestone with a deluxe "2013 mix" due out on November 29th.
