Rapper Saigon Leaves Atlantic, Further Delaying Debut Album
Rapper Saigon, best known as the emcee that abandoned Turtle on the show Entourage and who has been in label limbo for most of his career, is now abandoning Atlantic Records after a rocky tenure. The problems first surfaced when Atlantic delayed the release of Saigon's debut The Greatest Story Ever Told on several occasions. Saigon also expressed concern that Atlantic was trying to make him a "ringtone rapper." As per his release from Atlantic, Saigon will walk away with one hundred percent ownership of Greatest Story. Saigon says he's in talks with several major labels as well as one non-traditional music company with hopes of releasing the album this summer.
