Radiohead to Play ‘King of Limbs’ Live for BBC
Radiohead are set to perform their latest album, The King of Limbs, in its entirety for the BBC television program From the Basement. The show, which is produced by regular Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich, will present the band’s only confirmed live performance for the foreseeable future and marks the first time the majority of the record will be played live for the public. Todd Haynes to Direct My Morning Jacket Webcast
Todd Haynes, the filmmaker behind I’m Not There, Far From Heaven and Velvet Goldmine, will direct the webcast of a forthcoming My Morning Jacket concert for Vevo and American Express’ Unstaged series. The show, which will take place at the Louisville Palace Theater in Louisville, Kentucky on May 31st, is the latest in a series that has previously paired David Lynch with Duran Duran, Terry Gilliam with Arcade Fire and Spike Lee with the Roots and John Legend. Representatives from Fox have admitted to prospective contestants for Simon Cowell’s forthcoming American version of the singing competition The X Factor that computer hackers illegally accessed the information they submitted during auditions. Decemberists Keyboardist to Miss Tour Dates
The Decemberists have announced that their longtime keyboard and accordion player Jenny Conlee will miss nine scheduled concerts in May and June as she undergoes treatment for breast cancer.
