R. Kelly Records Song for Survivors of Newtown Shooting

Singer pays tribute to Connecticut school children

R. Kelly has written and recorded a new track paying tribute to the survivors of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, Rap-Up reports. "I Know You Are Hurting" is an uplifting, gospel-tinged track that features choirs of children and adults, though Kelly cedes the spotlight to the kids. "I know you're hurting / I hear you crying, but come tomorrow, there's a place you can go," they sing. It's a much needed dose of positivity.

Gun Control Now

A local promotor and newspaper editor in Newtown are looking for acts for benefit shows to support the community and survivors of the shooting. They have secured open dates for late January and early February at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
