Preview Kanye West’s ‘Monster’ Video

The video for Kanye West‘s “Monster” is apparently on the verge of debuting soon, if a recently leaked clip — in which West and his collaborators Rick Ross and Jay-Z rule the roost in rooms full of lifeless women, while Nicki Minaj, wearing a lace catsuit, acts feral — is any indication.

The video was directed by Jake Nava, who also masterminded the clips for Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,” Usher’s “Burn” and Kelis’ “Milkshake.” Judging by the preview clip, this video will be as visually striking as those earlier efforts; Kanye is in a sumptuously outfitted bed with two women who appear to be dead, with waxy pallors and lifeless eyes, while Ross smokes a cigar in a room where women dangle like chandeliers from the ceiling and Jay-Z walks by a nude, lifeless woman on a couch. Minaj, meanwhile, is on all fours as she spits out her verse.

Another sneak peek at the clip, which included behind-the-scenes stills and a clip of Ross eating a bloody piece of meat while sitting at a table topped by a spread-eagled woman, leaked last week. No premiere date has been announced.
