Post Malone showed Jimmy Fallon the wonders of his favorite restaurant, Olive Garden, on Thursday’s Tonight Show. Throughout the hilarious segment, the rapper showcased the unlimited free salad and breadsticks, the complimentary wine samples and the extra crispy chicken parmesan.
“I’ve not been monetarily compensated by Olive Garden to do or say anything,” Post was quick to note, as the duo arrived at the establishment. Fallon – who’d never eaten at the Italian-American chain restaurant – wore his olive-colored pants for the occasion, consistently marveling over the free food.
The Beerbongs & Bentleys emcee asked their waitress for a “shitload of butter” with the free breadsticks, and he requested a “laundry basket of croutons” during the salad portion of the meal. (Fallon strolled to the back and brought one out.) Shenanigans ensued: Post attempting to soak in the aroma of wine and getting some up his nose, Fallon throwing a napkin on his head and guessing whether the rapper prefers ketchup or mustard.
At the end of the bit, Fallon revealed that Olive Garden previously allowed his show to take over the rights to their old slogan “When you’re here, you’re family.” In a gracious move to the restaurant’s super-fan, he transferred the catchphrase over to his rapper friend. “Jimothy – no, sir,” Post said. “You shouldn’t have done this.”
