T.I.’s “Castle Walls” Was a Gift From Diddy
In a newly released interview conducted before he returned to prison November 2, T.I. revealed that “Castle Walls,” the Christina Aguilera collaboration on his new LP No Mercy, was originally a Diddy-Dirty Money song. “Puff, he acknowledged it, ‘Yeah, this is my record, but you know what? I think this is a better fit for you,” T.I. recalled. “I think this speaks volumes to where you are, what you going through,’ ” [MTV News]

Charlie Gilmour, the 21-year-old stepson of Pink Floyd guitarist Dave, issued an apology for climbing onto a war memorial during the anti-tuition demonstrations in London on Thursday. Gilmour called it a “terrible insult” to the memory of the country’s war dead. “Running along with a crowd of people who had just been violently repelled by the police, I got caught up in the spirit of the moment,” he wrote. Idol Contestants to Cover Beatles for Judges
Approximately 60 American Idol contestants will head to Las Vegas and perform Beatles covers for judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show’s producers are also considering other ways to increase coverage of the contestants, including what sounds like a Real World style treatment of the activity inside the Idol house.
