PJ Harvey Sets First U.S. Concerts in Five Years
PJ Harvey has announced her first U.S. tour dates in over five years to celebrate her new LP The Hope Six Demolition Project. After a string of European gigs throughout June and July, Harvey will head to America for a pair of gigs: New York’s Terminal 5 on August 16th and Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall on August 18th.
Harvey’s backing band features many of the musicians from The Hope Six Demolition Project sucs as The Bad Seeds’ Mick Harvey, Queens of the Stone Age’s Alain Johannes, John Parish, Biffy Clyro’s James Johnston, drummer Kenrick Rowe, percussionist Jean-Marc Butty, saxophonist Terry Edwards, guitarist Alessandro Stefana and clarinetist Enrico Gabrielli.
Harvey also revealed that the stage design will be constructed by Ian Rickson (director), Jeremy Herbert (set designer), Adam Silverman (lighting designer) and Ann Demeulemeester (costume designer).
