When Trey Anastasio isn’t helping the Grateful Dead bid goodnight to fans during a three-night July residency at Chicago’s Soldier Field, the guitarist will hit the road this summer with Phish for a 25-date tour that kicks off July 21st in Bend, Oregon. The highlight of the jam band’s latest trek will arrive August 21st through 23rd with their Magnaball, a three-day music festival hosted by Phish in Watkins Glen, NY.
Magnaball will be Phish’s 10th fest overall and their first since Super Ball IX in July 2011 (that fest was also staged at the Watkins Glen International grounds). Tickets for the Magnaball go on sale at the festival’s official site on March 20th, noon EST. Check out the festival’s site for more info. Online ticketing for the rest of Phish’s summer tour are underway at Phish’s official site.
Phish’s summer trek concludes with a three-night stand at Commerce City, Colorado’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on September 4th through 6th. As the band warns in a press release, there will be no fall tour, so these summer dates could be the last time phans get to see Phish for a while.
