The city of Philadelphia is honoring hometown heroes the Roots with a giant public mural. The Associated Press reports that the city’s Mural Arts Program unveiled the artwork on Friday, a day before the band’s annual Roots Picnic music festival.

The mural, titled “Legendary,” stretches several stories up on the back wall of a charter school and features a collage of images depicting the group’s history. The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon house band had once busked for change on the same street. “This is an amazing turnaround that on South Street we’re getting immortalized some 21 years later,” Roots drummer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson said.

“This is one of the greatest moments of our career,” he added. “I’ve forever driven the streets of Philadelphia wondering, when are we getting our mural?”
