Pete Doherty Denies Cocaine Charge in London Court
Libertines and Babyshambles singer was arrested in connection to heiress' overdose

Pete Doherty, singer and guitarist of Babyshambles and the Libertines, appeared in a London court earlier today to face charges for cocaine possession. The singer, who has a long history of legal problems relating to his substance abuse issues, denies the charge.
Doherty was arrested by police who were investigating the drug-related death of Robin Whitehead, a 27-year-old heiress who spent the last weeks of her life making a documentary about the Libertines. Doherty was suspected of supplying drugs to Whitehead, who is said to have had heroin, crack cocaine and Valium in her system at the time of her death in 2010.
