He didn’t wear a giant turkey costume or bring out Art Garfunkel for a surprise reunion this time, but longtime Saturday Night Live friend Paul Simon did perform a great set on the show this weekend. He played the title track to his new album, So Beautiful or So What, and even participated in a skit with Lindsey Buckingham and Glee‘s Chris Colfer. Simon is currently in the middle of an American theater and club tour, in which he mixes hits (“Slip Slidin’ Away,” “Kodachrome”) with rarely played deep cuts (“Hearts and Bones,” “The Obvious Child”) and selections from the new LP. The tour wraps up on June 2nd in Boston and then heads over to Europe.
