Paul McCartney Answers Questions on Twitter

Paul McCartney took over the Twitterverse this morning for a Q&A session with fans about his upcoming studio effort, New, out October 15th. For about an hour, Macca talked about the cuts he was most proud of (“Early Days,” and the hidden track, “Scared”), the most memorable moments of the New sessions, and even got bi-lingual, answering a Japanese fan’s question about a lyric from “New”: “You came along and made my life a song” is about his wife, Nancy Shevell, McCartney said. From settling on the simple album title New to the last couple records he purchased – an awesomely varied selection of Kanye West, the Civil Wars, Jay Z and the National – we’ve rounded up highlights from McCartney’s Twitter Q&A:
