Paramore Album Coming in April

Tennessee alt-rock titans Paramore will return April 9th with a new self-titled album, the band announced on their website.
In the post – signed by frontwoman Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York – the band wrote that during the year they spent working on their fourth LP, they always referred to the album as Paramore: “In fact, what usually takes us weeks on end to sum up and put a label on only took us a five minute conversation this time around,” they wrote of titling the album.

The band also said a song called “Now” would be the first single. While they didn’t include details about when they would make the track avialable, they did say the tune “feels like the perfect way to start this new journey we are embarking on not only as a band but as a movement. To show people that you can lose battles but come back and win full on wars. You can make something out of even less than nothing.”
Their post continued, “The whole making of this album was a rediscovering of ourselves as a band and as friends. It was a process that allowed us the freedom to explore new territory artistically and to liberate ourselves as musicians, singers, as people.”
Paramore is the band’s first LP since 2009’s Brand New Eyes and will also mark their first album as a trio since the 2010 departure of Josh and Zac Farro, the band’s co-founding guitarist and drummer. At the end of the post, the band thanked their fans for “believing in the three of us before we ever even did,” as well as producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen “for seeing a brand new band in us.”
