Pantera Ready ‘Great Southern Trendkill’ 20th Anniversary Reissue

Pantera will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1996 epic The Great Southern Trendkill with a double-disc reissue that pairs the original LP with a second disc stocked with unreleased mixes, instrumentals and live recordings of the album’s 11 tracks. The Great Southern Trendkill: 20th Anniversary Edition is out October 21st.

In addition to the 20th anniversary edition of The Great Southern Trendkill, the reissue’s second disc, minus two tracks, will also be released as the standalone The Great Southern Outtakes. All 11 Great Southern tracks are presented in unreleased form, ranging from a 2016 mix of the title track and four early mixes to instrumental versions and three live recordings taken from Pantera’s 1998 Dynamo Festival performance in Holland.

The reissue includes rare photos from the era as well as liner notes by journalist Katherine Turman, who shares stories from the creation of the album.

Pantera previously reissued their 1994 LP Far Beyond Driven.
