After just two months of training, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs completed
the 26.2 mile New York City Marathon yesterday with a time of four
hours and fourteen minutes, finishing 11,359th out of the 30,000
runners.
Combs used the event to draw attention to his fundraising drive
for a two children's charities — the Children's Hope Foundation
(for HIV-positive kids) and the Daddy's House Social Programs — as
well as New York's public school system. He reportedly pulled in $2
million, more than double his initial projection. After the
marathon, Combs attended a bash thrown for him by Jay-Z, who was
among those who made a donation to his cause.
"Never in my life have I experienced anything as crazy as this,"
Combs said afterwards. "It was a beautiful experience."
