One Direction Detail New Album, Release Anthemic ‘Infinity’

One Direction have revealed the title for their fifth album — Made in the A.M. — and have set November 13th as the new album’s release date.
The boy band announced Made in the A.M. via a Twitter video. In the clip, they also revealed that new track “Infinity” — written by the same team behind their folk-pop single “Story of My Life” — will be available for download immediately with pre-orders of the LP.
The new track follows in the arena rock footsteps of Four, featuring a massive chorus and sound reminiscent of Coldplay. One Direction have already previewed their new, post-Zayn Malik music with “Drag Me Down,” a dynamic electro-pop-rock song that was accompanied by a space camp-themed music video.
One Direction began working on Made in the A.M. not long after former member Malik quit the band. “This in turn spurs us on to make the best music we possibly can [and] put on great shows/tour for you guys,” Niall Horan wrote on Twitter. “You are the best fans in the world and deserve nothing less from us!”
Rumors circulated last month that the boy band would disband next year. Horan responded to the report saying that they would be taking a break, but not actually breaking up. “We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well-earned break at some point next year,” he tweeted. “Don’t worry though, we still have lots to achieve! Can’t wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform some new songs at the tor [sic] continues! Love you all xx.”
