One Direction Announce 2013 Summer Tour

British boy band One Direction have announced a summer tour of the United States, Billboard reports. The catch is – it’s not for this summer, but for the next. The group’s itinerary is so packed through this year that they will only have time for one American gig – a sold-out headlining show at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan – before having time to mount a full-on North American tour.
The tour will hit 25 cities in the United States and Canada between June and August of next year, but tickets for the shows will go on sale on Saturday, April 21st. The gigs will almost certainly sell out, but One Direction runs the risk of losing the enthusiasm of their young fans, who may be more excited about something else over a year after the release of their first album.
