The Norwich Sound and Vision festival will host the John Peel Festival of New Music this October, according to the Eastern Daily Press. The late, influential BBC Radio 1 DJ will be honored with a three-day festival running October 11th to 13th, with around 50 bands set to play across 10 venues around Norwich. A charity show is also scheduled for October 10th, to benefit the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts.

"I'm very pleased that an organization like Norwich Arts Centre is keeping the spirit and legacy of John's passion alive," said Peel's widow, Sheila Ravenscroft. Peel passed away in October 2004. He was 65.
