George Evelyn is a true pioneer of electronic music. Since 1991, he’s recorded albums for Warp Records under the alias Nightmares on Wax, blending elements of hip-hop, soul, jazz and techno in his signature spaced-out style.

Evelyn released his seventh LP, Feelin’ Good, earlier this month. In celebration of it, he’s now sharing a new DJ mix, “Fun Mix #1,” which is available to stream exclusively here.

“This is a feel-good, fun mix from me, playing in the moment for the joy of music,” Evelyn tells Rolling Stone of the eclectic, hour-long set. “The journey is everything, and everything is everything when it comes to my influences of electronic, reggae, jazz, hip-hop, funk, disco, drum-and-bass and salsa.”

This is just the beginning of Evelyn’s busy fall: on October 28th, he and his live band will open their first full tour since 2008 with a show in Berlin. The North American leg begins on November 14th in Washington, D.C. Check out the full dates at the Nightmares on Wax website.
