New Britney Spears Album Has a Title

Britney Spears has named her new record Britney Jean, and the singer says it will be released on December 3rd. “It’s a personal album and, like, all my family, they always call me Britney Jean,” Spears said during an interview on London’s Capital FM Radio, which you can watch below. “It’s like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans.”
Spears declined to divulge any guests she may have collaborated with on the record, shying away when asked if Miley Cyrus returned the favor for Spears’ guest spot on her new album, Bangerz.
Spears recently released the first single from Britney Jean, “Work Bitch,” along with a wild video that finds the pop star, among other things, dancing on a pedestal in pool as she’s circled by sharks. The track was co-written and -produced by Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso and will.i.am, with the latter also acting as executive producer on the record. The two previously collaborated on “Scream & Shout” from will’s solo effort, #willpower, and “Big Fat Bass” from Spears’ last album, Femme Fatale.
Concurrent with the release of Britney Jean, Spear will kick off a two-year, 50-show residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on December 27th. Dubbed “Britney: Piece of Me,” the show will reportedly showcase Spears’ new material, and of course her biggest hits. Tickets for the first slew of concerts are currently available.
