Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Rush Added to Rock Hall Lineup

Past inductees will honor members of 2017 class

Neil Young, Jackson Browne and members of Rush will present at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony April 7th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The three previous Rock Hall inductees will welcome new members of the 2017 class, with Young introducing Pearl Jam, Brown introducing Joan Baez and Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson introducing Yes.

The three inductees are closely tied to the artists introducing them. Pearl Jam and Young have shared a mutual admiration for decades, memorably performing “Rockin’ In the Free World” at the 1993 VMAs and collaborating on Young’s 1995 album, Mirror Ball. Rush and Yes, meanwhile, were prog rock innovators and the former has vouched for the latter since their own long-awaited induction in 2013. And Baez has recorded several Browne tunes throughout her career and the pair have performed live together on various occasions.

The 2017 Rock Hall class also includes Electric Light Orchestra, Journey and Tupac Shakur. Chic’s Nile Rodgers will receive the Award for Musical Excellence. Additional presenters and performers will be announced soon.

Tickets for the Induction Ceremony will go on sale to the general public February 3rd at 10 a.m. ET, while the Barclays Center box office will begin selling them in person February 4th at noon. A pre-sale will be available to Citi cardmembers, January 30th at 10 a.m. through February 2nd at 10 p.m. ET via the Citi Private Pass website. Tickets prices start at $50 and VIP packages will also be available.

The Induction Ceremony will eventually air on HBO and over SiriusXM radio, with broadcast details to be announced at a later date.
