“I had been in a bit of a songwriting lull around the time I penned this song, and if I remember correctly, it was The Killers’ ‘Read My Mind’ which prompted me to pick the pen back up again,” Devon Reed tells Rolling Stone. “That song just turned into one of those earmites I couldn’t get rid of, and sometimes I find the only way to get a song unstuck from my head is to put together some sort of musical response to it.  I was just thrilled when The Cloud Room opted to record the song, since I’d been a fan of theirs for a while and thought they were a perfect fit for it.”
