Morrissey is preparing to release a new concert film celebrating his 25 years as a solo artist, reports The Guardian. Morrissey 25: Live, filmed in March at a high school in L.A., will be released on DVD and in theaters this August.

The intimate performance was shot at Hollywood High School and features several songs from the Smiths' catalog, as well as an appearance by Russell Brand. Fan tributes and performance footage will also be included. Morrissey released "Suedehead," his debut single as a solo artist, in 1988.

Morrissey's nephew, Sam Esty Raynor, said on Facebook that the film will be screened in 47 theaters and available in IMAX 3D. A trailer for the film is expected to be released sometime in July.

Morrissey is set to resume touring next month after canceling a large number of North American dates earlier this year because of ongoing medical issues.
