Morrissey Thinks He’ll Retire In Two Years

In an interview with JuiceOnline.com, Morrissey has revealed he plans to retire in two years. The former Smiths frontman and prolific solo artist has said 55 years of age feels like the proper cutoff, and when asked about retiring, the 53 year-old Morrissey admitted he still thinks he’ll stop in a couple years.
“I am slightly shocked to have gone as far as I have. This is my 30th year, and I’ve aged a lot recently, which is a bit distressing for me, as it must be for everyone,” said Morrissey. “The body changes shape and there’s nothing you can do about it . . . I take one hour at a time.”
Morrissey made his debut with the Smiths in 1982 before branching out into a solo career in 1988. His most recent studio album, Years of Refusal, was released in 2009.
