The audiobook version of Morrissey‘s recently released Autobiography will feature another Morrissey as its narrator. The man reading the book will be British actor David Morrissey, who is best known lately for playing the villainous Governor on The Walking Dead. The singer’s fan site True to You first reported the news and David Morrissey’s rep confirmed it to Rolling Stone. The audiobook, which True to You says will be complete and unabridged, is due to come out on December 5th through Penguin Classics. It’s not clear currently, though, whether that release date will be the same in the U.S. The book has yet to be officially released in the States, with a release date of December 3rd planned by publisher Penguin Random House.

The release of the autobiography has been typically fraught for Morrissey. Although the book was originally scheduled to come out in September, Morrissey canceled its release three days before publication over a “last-minute content disagreement” with the publisher. When it finally did come out last month, it offered a rare look into his private life. One such revelation was a passage where he described a relationship he had with a man named Jake Walters, saying, “Finally, I can get on with someone.”

After years of fans guessing about his sexuality, it seemed like a coming-out, but Morrissey later clarified the supposed revelation by saying, “Unfortunately, I am not homosexual. In technical fact, I am humasexual.” Rolling Stone‘s Rob Sheffield commented on the book, “The real shocker isn’t that Autobiography exists – it’s that it’s so full of life, in all its morally reprehensible wit.”
