Moby’s New Video ‘Be The One’ Showcases Drudgery Of Touring

In Moby’s new video for his song “Be The One” the electronic artist lip-syncs the song in extreme close-up shots at various settings – from an airport to a bodega to the backseat of a car. Traveling is the major theme of his new book Destroyed, which documents the monotonous drudgery of touring. A companion LP, also named Destroyed, hits stores on May 17th. It was largely written late at night after concerts on Moby’s last tour.
Moby’s home life has been anything but monotonous recently. An LSD-addled intruder recently broke into his home. “He was completely harmless,” Moby told TMZ. “It was too early to cook breakfast for him. So, we just gave him $20 and a sweatshirt and sent him on his way for breakfast.”
