Miguel Delivers Sultry ‘Coffee’ Video, New Tour Details

Neo-soul singer also releases three new ‘Wildheart’ cuts, including Lenny Kravitz collaboration

Neo-soul crooner Miguel has offered up a sultry, steamy video for “Coffee,” a single off his upcoming LP Wildheart, along with three new album cuts, including “Face the Sun,” featuring Lenny Kravitz on guitar.

Miguel, as is his wont, leaves little to the imagination in the hot and heavy “Coffee” clip. He and his lady commingle in various locales and states of undress, stare longingly into each other’s eyes and — in the words of the almighty love-ah Roger Clarvin — “make a love so powerful, me thinks I heard the god Zeus chuckling from on high.”

The singer accompanied the “Coffee” clip with three additional Wildheart cuts that offer a taste of the LP’s atmospheric blend of soul, rock and lascivious post-Prince pop. “Face the Sun” begins with a guitar that wouldn’t sound out of place in a Bay Area garage and builds to an arena-ready conclusion, complete with wild vocal wails and a rousing Kravitz solo.

“FLESH” features more contemporary, minimalist R&B production hinging on heavy bass and swirling synths. When hitched to Miguel’s falsetto, the song spirals into a climactic, hypnotic melange of vocal tracks.

The uptempo “…Goingtohell” fits somewhere between the two, as Miguel’s airy vocals sail over thumping breakbeat production and crunching, grit-caked guitar work that veers momentarily into the psychedelic.

Miguel has also announced a North American tour in support of Wildheart, which begins July 24th in Austin, Texas. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 19th, with more details available on Miguel’s website. A full list of dates is below.
