An exhibition of costumes worn by Michael Jackson will embark on a global tour starting May 18th, the Associated Press reports. The traveling showcase will open in Santiago, Chile and will hit South America, Europe and Asia before the costumes are auctioned in Beverly Hills on December 2nd.

According to Reuters, the collection contains between 50 and 100 costumes designed by longtime Jackson collaborators Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush. Highlights include a silver spandex leotard worn during Jackson's 1987 Bad tour and a battery-powered, light-up helmet from his 2001 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Jackson died in June 2009 in Los Angeles. He was 50.
