Metallica Get Faithfull On New Album

George De Sota/Redferns

Metallica's Re-Load album, due out on Elektra in the U.S. Nov. 18 and a day earlier in the U.K. on Mercury, will include a track with a "vocal melody" by Marianne Faithfull.

"The Memory Remains" was cut in Dublin, where Faithfull lives, while Metallica was in Europe for festival appearances. It is the first time the band has invited an outside vocalist to contribute. Re-Load features 13 songs penned for the band's 1996 set Load, which was originally planned as a double CD.
