Meelah Williams is the voice of staple 1990s R&B jams “Get It Together” and “Where My Girls At?” from girl group 702, but she has turned up the sensuality for her latest song and video, “Give It to You,” a steamy duet with Musiq Soulchild, her child’s father and her on-again, off-again beau.
Yahoo Music is pleased to have the exclusive video premiere.
“Give It to You” has all the ingredients of a classic soul duet – impassioned vocals, seductive lyrics, and mood-setting music. Meelah’s Minnie Riperton-esque high notes compliment Musiq’s baritone, and the video is definitely for mature audiences. Clearly, there’s still a lot of chemistry here as the clip catches them in romantic acts, and Meelah in revealing bathtub scenes.
Meelah, who has collaborated with Missy Elliott, Faith Evans, Snoop Dogg and Macy Gray, is working on a new album. Last April, she joined the cast of the reality series R&B Divas Atlanta alongside Angie Stone, Syleena Johnson, Keke Wyatt, Monifah, and LaTavia Roberson. It’s great to have her back on the scene; her voice has been missed.
