Sir Paul joins Neil Young for annual benefit concert
Paul McCartney, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Los Lonely Boys will be among the acts joining Neil Young for this year’s Bridge School Benefit Concert. The eighteenth annual event, which benefits Young’s wife Pegi’s non-profit organization to aid children with severe physical and speech impairments, will be held over two days, October 23rd and 24th at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.
Also on this year’s bill are Sonic Youth, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Tony Bennett, and Tegan and Sara.
Past Bridge School performers include Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Beck, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Bonnie Raitt. Bridge School Concerts, Vol. 1, a compilation of the concerts’ highlights, was released in 1997.
