The Rolling Stones are already putting their new official app to good use, announcing that R&B superstar Mary J. Blige and rising guitar slinger Gary Clark Jr. will join the group on stage for their upcoming show at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. The December 8th concert marks the Stones’ first U.S. concert for their set of “50 and Counting” shows celebrating the group’s 50th anniversary.

The 5 Biggest Surprises From the Rolling Stones’ London Kickoff

There’s no word on whether Clark Jr. and Blige will join the band when they head across the river for performances December 13th and 15th shows at Newark’s Prudential Center.

Blige has already appeared with the Stones this fall, sitting in on “Gimme Shelter” at the first of two anniversary shows the band played at London’s O2 Arena. Former Stones Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman also performed with the band at the first show, as did Jeff Beck. Eric Clapton and Florence Welch were guest performers at the second London show.

There’s been no word on what other guests may join the Stones, but Paul McCartney will be in town for the “12-12-12” Hurricane Sandy benefit show and Saturday Night Live – and the Stones did open their first London show with the Lennon/McCartney-penned “I Wanna Be Your Man.” Fingers crossed.
