UPDATE: Kanye West will perform at the Grammys in what is being billed as a “never-before-seen solo performance.” The solo performance will complement West’s appearance with Paul McCartney and Rihanna for “FourFiveSeconds.”

The 57th annual Grammy Awards have announced the first wave of artists that will perform live on the Staples Center stage February 8th: AC/DC, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Eric Church. The award show’s official Twitter made the announcement this morning following rumors late Monday night that Madonna had been recruited to take the stage.

Madonna first teased her Grammy involvement Monday night when she tweeted a picture of her “Rebel Heart” artwork meshed with a Grammy Award. “Rebel Hearts see you Feb 8th @TheGRAMMYs,” she wrote. Her manager Guy Oseary confirmed to Billboard that she would perform at the 57th annual Grammys. This will be Madonna’s fifth time performing at the event; in 2014, she joined Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for “Same Love” and “Open Your Heart.”

The Grammys will also be our first look at AC/DC since the group released their new LP Rock or Bust and should provide some clarity as to whether the rockers plan to move forward with or without embattled drummer Phil Rudd. The drummer, who faces drug possession and threatening to kill charges in New Zealand, is due back in court on February 10th, two days after the 57th annual Grammys. Rudd has publicly stated “I want my job back, I want my reputation back and I’m gonna get it back.”

Sheeran is up for three awards at this year’s Grammys, including Album of the Year for X. Grande was nominated for two awards: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for “Bang Bang” and Best Pop Vocal Album for My Everything. Church scored four nominations, most notably Best Country Album for his The Outsiders.

Expect the Grammys to announce many more performers before the awards show arrives February 8th.
