Mac Miller and Miguel pay their respects to Saturday and Sunday in the new video for “Weekend,” off the Pittsburgh rapper’s last album, GO:OD A.M..
The simple clip opens with Miller stalking a lonesome alley, spitting exhausted verses that pair his past excesses with the slog of another week. Miguel, however, arrives in time to ring in the weekend with a lithe hook as he scoops Miller up in a slick black car.
The pair cruise around for the rest of the clip, finding themselves in a few peculiar locales, including a playground where Miller spins on a carousel and a green-lit hall overflowing with plants and women in full body suits who envelop the rapper.
Miller released GO:OD A.M. last September, marking his major label debut and first full-length since 2013’s Watching Movies With the Sound Off. After an exhaustive three-month tour, the rapper postponed a handful of Australian and New Zealand dates in late December, but plans to return to the road in Europe in April. In the meantime, the rapper recently shared a cover of Billy Joel’s “Vienna,” which he released under his Larry Fisherman alias.
